1. Who we are
Judy is a product of Hire Judy, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide AI-powered bookkeeping for single-member LLCs and sole proprietors, delivered through Telegram, Slack, and WhatsApp. Our website is hirejudy.com and our service is accessible at app.hirejudy.com. 2. Information we collect
Financial data via Plaid. When you connect your bank accounts, we use Plaid Technologies, Inc. to retrieve your transaction history, account balances, and account identifiers. We store your transaction data in an isolated, encrypted database specific to your account. We do not store your bank login credentials — those are handled entirely by Plaid. Plaid's privacy policy is available at plaid.com/legal.
Payment information via Stripe. Subscription billing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number or banking details. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy. We retain your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your account.
Messaging content. When you interact with Judy through Telegram, Slack, or WhatsApp, your messages are processed to provide bookkeeping responses. Message content is not shared with third parties and is not used to train AI models. We use Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses; Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
Account information. We collect the email address associated with your Stripe subscription and, optionally, your business name. We do not collect your Social Security Number, EIN, or any tax identification numbers.
3. How we use your information

- To process subscription payments and manage your account

We do not sell your personal information or financial data to third parties. We do not use your financial data for advertising.
4. Data storage and security
Your financial data is stored in an isolated SQLite database on our servers, encrypted at rest and in transit. Each customer's database is physically and cryptographically separated — your data is never co-mingled with another customer's records. We maintain continuous backups to Cloudflare R2 object storage using Litestream replication.
Our servers are located in the European Union. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to EU-based infrastructure. We comply with applicable data transfer requirements.
5. Data retention
We retain your financial data for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days following cancellation. This retention period allows resubscribers to restore their full history. After 90 days post-cancellation, your data is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion by contacting [email protected].
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. You may also disconnect your bank accounts at any time by contacting support, which will terminate Plaid's access to your financial institution.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the messaging channel associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
